Empty Instagram Profiles List

Adzviser discovers Instagram profiles through Facebook Login and their linked Facebook Pages. An empty list can mean the expected profile is not accessible to that login, permissions are missing, or Meta could not return the account. Check the following:

1. Switch to a Business or Creator Account

Your Instagram account must be a Professional account (Business or Creator) — personal accounts are not supported by the API.

How to switch: In Instagram, open your account settings and find Account type and tools → Switch to professional account; choose Business or Creator. Labels can vary by app version. See Meta's official guide for detailed steps.

2. Link Your Instagram Account to a Facebook Page

Your Instagram Business or Creator account must be connected to a Facebook Page that you manage.

Check the Page connection: Open the intended Facebook Page’s settings and inspect its Linked accounts → Instagram connection. Ask the Page owner to connect the correct professional profile if necessary. Having Facebook and Instagram profiles together in Accounts Center does not, by itself, verify this Page connection.

3. Check your Facebook Page access

Use the Facebook identity that has access to the linked Page and Instagram account. Ask the Page or business owner to check your assigned assets and access to insights in Meta Business Suite. Current labels include Facebook access and task access, rather than only the older Admin/Editor roles. See Meta’s Page access explanation.

4. Grant the Required Permissions During Login

When authorizing Adzviser through Facebook, include the intended Page and Instagram account and grant the requested reporting access. If you previously excluded them, repeat the connection from Set Up and review the selected assets and permissions. If the list remains empty, contact us with the Page/profile names and any error message.
