Refresh Data on Google Sheets
Refresh reruns your saved queries to retrieve updated data. Both preset and custom date ranges work:
- Presets, such as
lastWeekortoday, recalculate their dates on each refresh. - Custom dates stay fixed. For example, September 1–15 stays September 1–15 while the returned figures can change.
See date presets and their current behavior. You can refresh your data either automatically or manually.
Automatic Refresh
You can schedule automatic refreshes within Adzviser Google Sheets add-on. Launch Adzviser Google Sheets add-on -> Switch to Schedule tab -> Click Add trigger -> Select the periodic cadence of your refreshes and then click Save.
Schedule owner and timezone
The schedule runs under the Google account that created it. Use that same Google account to change, delete, or restore it; sharing the spreadsheet does not transfer ownership of its schedule.
The schedule saves the spreadsheet's timezone when created. Daily schedules use your selected hour; weekly and monthly schedules use the 2 a.m. hour. Google chooses the actual run minute within that hour; see Google's timing rules. To use a different timezone, change the spreadsheet's timezone, then delete and recreate the schedule.
Manually Refresh
To manually refresh your retrieved data in Google Sheets, select Extensions → Adzviser → Refresh all queries.
If scheduled refresh stops
- Open the add-on's Schedule tab using the Google account that created the schedule. If an ownership message names another account, switch to that account.
- If Google permissions are missing, follow the reconnection prompt and reopen Schedule.
- Check the status. “Scheduled refresh restored from adzviserSettings.” means the saved schedule was restored. If no schedule is configured, select Add trigger. If an older schedule cannot be restored, follow the message to delete and recreate it.
- Try Refresh all queries manually. If it fails too, resolve the displayed query or connection error before relying on the schedule. Reauthorize Adzviser or reconnect the affected source if prompted.
If it still fails, contact us with the error message and scheduled time/timezone.
